Prior to receiving your interim certification, you must also:

  • Pass the Michigan Test For Teacher Certification (MTTC) in your desired area of certification.

  • Pass a criminal background check

    • (We conduct checks via ICHAT, the only public resource for name-based Michigan criminal history background checks.)

Note: While a passing score on the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) is not required for admission, it is required to receive interim certification.
