If you answered yes to the above questions, you will be happy to learn that #T.E.A.C.H. is approved by Michigan Training Connect (MiTC)!  Michigan Training Connect is the State’s official training provider list for unemployed individuals qualifying for an Individual Training Account (ITA) under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

The Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federally funded program that provides money for school and training for in demand and high paying careers. There are two components of the program, The Adult Component and The Dislocated Worker Component:

  • The Adult component is for workers that are low income.

  • The Dislocated Worker program is for people that are receiving unemployment compensation or have exhausted it.

The program generally pays up to $5,000 toward tuition! In addition to tuition assistance, the program also assists with support services including but not limited to testing fees, test preparation, books, boards, clothing related to training/employment, other equipment for training/employment and car repair.

This is a federal grant and students do not have to pay any of the money back!

If you are interested in receiving funding, please CLICK HERE  to locate a Michigan Works One-Stop Service Center in your area or call 1-800-285-WORKS (9675) to determine eligibility.
