How do I apply?
It’s easy! All you need to do is complete our online application by clicking the “Apply Today” button or you can go to https://trainingeducators.info/forms/.
During the application process, you will be asked to submit your resume, provide proof that you have a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and a 2.00 GPA.
When can I apply to your program?
Admissions are rolling and applications are accepted year-round.
My degree is not in education, can I still apply to your program?
You are not limited by your degree! You can teach in any area as long as you pass the required assessments.
Can you help me with visa issues?
We do not have any guidance documents on work visas. We recommend contacting the U.S. Department of State for guidance.
Do I need a teachable major?
If you desire to teach elementary, a teachable major is not required. However, to teach Secondary or P-12 must have a degree in a teachable major OR pass the required assessments.
Can I receive credit for prior coursework?
Yes! Prior college of education coursework may qualify for waivers.
Do I need to pass the Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessment prior to admission?
No, but you must pass it prior to licensure.
When should I take the test and which test should I take?
Testing schedules and codes are published by the state.
Do you offer test preparation assistance for the Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessment?
Study guides and practice tests are available on our website.
How do I register to take the Arizona Content Area Assessments?
Register via the AEPA website.
Do you assist with job placement?

What if my degree is from out of the country?
I took my Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessment several years ago. Can I just send you those scores?
Yes! Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessment scores do not expire.
If I pass the Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessment, why do I need to take the courses?
It is required by state law. The coursework teaches how to teach.
Can I meet the teaching time requirements if I teach online?
Online teaching is permissible with portfolio-based observations.
What if I am a Canadian Applicant?
Canadian applicants must follow out-of-country guidance.
Requirements for Out-of-Country Teacher Candidates
Foreign credential evaluations are required.
Elementary-Level Certification
Candidates must pass the Elementary Education test.
Secondary-Level Certification
Candidates must pass the appropriate subject-area test(s).
Additional Endorsement Applicants
Additional endorsements require passing appropriate tests.
What if I want to teach American Sign Language?
ASL certification is available with demonstrated proficiency via SLPI.
What if I want to get certified in ESL or World Language?
Candidates must pass the required assessments or OPI as applicable.
How many credits is your program?
Our program is hours based. Our Elementary and Secondary Programs are 383 hours. This is the equivalent of 15.32 credit hours. Our P-12 certification program is 433 hours which is the equivalent of 17.32 credit hours. On our course list you will see the number of hours required for each course.
Are your courses content specific?
The way alternative certification works is that you show evidence of your content knowledge by passing the Arizona Core Content Area Assessments. As such, our courses focus on the Art of Teaching, not specific content.
How much does #TEACH cost?
Initial certification costs $6,200 with discounts available for additional endorsements and course waivers.
Do you offer financial aid?
#TEACH is not a college and therefore cannot offer federal student aid. However, we do have financing options, payment plans, and a payment-in-full discount. Visit the Pricing & Scholarships page for details.
