It’s valid for five years from the date of issuance, running through June 30 of the expiration year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.1

To move from the ITC to a Standard Teaching Certificate, you’ll need to finish your program’s required coursework and assessments and complete three years of successful teaching within your endorsement area.
