Frequently Asked Questions

What is the #TEACH Creating Hope Scholarship?
The #TEACH Creating Hope Scholarship is a scholarship opportunity for aspiring educators pursuing initial teacher certification through #TEACH.

The scholarship was created to support future teachers who demonstrate a commitment to serving students, strengthening communities, and creating meaningful change through education. Selected recipients will receive a $1,000 scholarship award toward their #TEACH program fee to help support their certification journey.

#TEACH will award five $1,000 scholarships to eligible applicants. Scholarship funds may be applied according to the official Terms & Conditions and scholarship program guidelines.

Eligibility requirements are outlined in the official scholarship Terms & Conditions.

In general, applicants must be pursuing teacher certification through an eligible #TEACH program and complete all required application materials by the stated deadlines. Additional eligibility requirements may apply based on program participation and state-specific guidelines.

Applicants will be asked to complete the scholarship application and submit a short essay response explaining how they hope to create meaningful change through education.

Additional materials, such as a photo and basic background information, may also be requested as part of the application process.

Applications are reviewed using a standardized evaluation rubric designed to promote consistency and fairness.

Reviewers consider factors such as commitment to education, alignment with the scholarship mission, potential impact on students and communities, authenticity of the applicant’s story, and overall quality of the essay response.

Winners are expected to be announced in early November 2026. Winners will be notified via email, and we’ll announce on #TEACH social media profiles.
