To pursue the CCTF route, you’ll need to be admitted into an approved educator preparation program like #TEACH, pass the required certification exams for the subject area you want to teach, and complete a background check. From there, an Alabama school district that offers you a teaching position applies for your CCTF on your behalf, allowing you to begin teaching as a full-time, paid educator while completing your educator preparation program and participating in a mentoring program.
